Doctors or any certified health provider can order an EMRG Imaging service

A Sonogragrapher or Radiographer are dispatched

Depending on the urgency the scan can be prioritised

Exam is performed by AHPRA/ASAR registered Sonographer and Radiographer

Images are uploaded onto our system for viewing

Radiologist writes report

A final report is sent to the referring provider

Doctors reviews report and images

Patient is contacted by the referring provider

EMRG Imaging offers a range of diagnostic imaging services including X-rays, ultrasound and doppler. All scans are performed by qualified radiographers and reported by specialist radiologists.

Yes. A referral from a doctor or any certified healthcare provider is required before booking an imaging appointment at EMRG.

Most imaging results are available within 24–48 hours, and in many cases even sooner. Your referring doctor will receive the report directly.

The duration depends on the type of scan.

  • X-ray: 10–15 minutes

  • Ultrasound: 20–40 minutes

Your appointment confirmation will include specific details.

Many imaging services at EMRG are bulk billed when eligible under Medicare. Coverage may vary depending on the procedure and individual insurance plans.

Please bring your referral form, Medicare card, any previous imaging results, and valid ID. If you have special requirements, notify the clinic ahead of time.

Preparation varies depending on the scan type. Some scans may require fasting or drinking water beforehand. Clear instructions will be provided during booking to ensure accurate results.
